 2019 Research Grant Awards

IA (The Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association) and the Kingston Trust CIO are two charitable organisations who are jointly funding this grant round with the aim of improving the quality of life of people with an ileostomy.

Overview

Grant applications are now closed. We will announce successful projects in mid-May

Grant awards up to £75k will be considered for funding although exceptional projects requiring more finance will be considered.

Research

Bowel Disease Research Foundation will act as brokers for the mutual benefit of the partnership and will be responsible for overseeing the whole process of advertising for and screening suitable projects, recruiting potential research teams, assessing applications and using its Research and Audit procedures to peer review and authorise funding. By using this process, successful applications will be eligible for NIHR portfolio status.

Applications are invited around the theme of:

“Improving quality of life for people with an ileostomy”.
