Ileoanal & Kock Pouch information day – important patient info!

Do you have an ileonal pouch (j-pouch) or a Kock pouch? Or are you considering surgery to form one?

If so, our friends at the Ileostomy & Internal Pouch Association are hosting an information day you might want to attend.

Ileal pouch surgery is an option when you need to have surgery to remove your colon.

Lots of questions arise when considering pouch surgery – “What should I do? Will I get permanent diarrhoea? Will I have to stay close to a toilet all the time? Can I still have children?” – the list goes on.

After surgery, life comes with its own new set of challenges and experiences.

This information day features presentations from surgeons, nurses and patients living with a pouch.

You’ll be able to get valuable guidance on treatment options, and practical advice for life with a pouch.

The day is split so you can focus on either ileoanal pouch or Kock pouch information.

Attendance costs £6, which includes lunch and refreshments. The event takes place at Jury’s Inn, Scotswood Road, Newcastle, NE1 4AD.
